Dr. Gioia’s educational journey began with two years of general surgery, followed by four years of urologic surgery, and an additional two years focused on pelvic reconstructive surgery. This extensive training has equipped him with an exceptional understanding of the complex interplay between urology and gynecology, enabling him to offer comprehensive solutions for a wide range of pelvic floor disorders.
With a particular focus on robotic prolapse repair, Dr. Gioia has become a leading authority in the field. He has performed more robotic prolapse repair surgeries than any other practitioner in the United States, solidifying his reputation as a pioneer in advanced surgical techniques. Additionally, Dr. Gioia has been appointed as a proctor for both DaVinci and Medtronic, contributing to the advancement of minimally invasive surgical approaches.
Dr. Gioia’s expertise has been recognized through numerous accolades, including being named a Center of Excellence for both Medtronic and Axonics, two prominent medical technology companies. His dedication to patient care and surgical excellence has also earned him the distinction of being named a New Jersey Monthly Top Doc in 2022 and 2023.
Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Gioia has deep roots in the community. Having grown up in the area and attended CBA, he is proud to be a true Jersey Boy. He shares his life with his wife, Dr. Neda Gioia, also a respected medical professional, and their two daughters. When he’s not in the operating room, Dr. Gioia enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and skiing. He also indulges his passion for speed as an avid car racer.

Originally hailing from upstate New York, Dr. Tennyson pursued her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan, where she developed a strong foundation in the medical field. She then attended Albany Medical College, where she graduated at the top of her class with the distinction of being inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) honor society. Driven by a passion for women’s health she completed a 6 year Urology residency followed by a 3 year fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery.
Dr. Tennyson’s commitment to providing exceptional care stems from her desire to create a safe and comfortable environment for women to address their intimate health concerns. She recognizes the unique needs of each patient and takes a personalized approach to develop customized treatment plans that yield the best possible outcomes. Her expertise and dedication to her field have led her to present at national meetings and she has authored numerous articles and book chapters on topics in her field. Dr. Nina Jacobson is a highly respected urogynecologist with over a decade of experience in women’s pelvic health. With a foundation in obstetrics and gynecology, she brings a comprehensive approach to urogynecologic care, complementing our team of urology-trained specialists. Dr. Jacobson specializes in advanced vaginal surgery and minimally invasive techniques, offering state-of-the-art treatments to help patients regain comfort and confidence. Her commitment to personalized, evidence-based care ensures that each patient receives the most effective solutions tailored to their needs.
Dr. Jacobson’s medical journey began at Cornell University. She earned her medical degree from the Sackler School of Medicine in Tel Aviv, graduating at the top of her class. She then completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, followed by a prestigious fellowship in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. There, she refined her expertise in minimally invasive procedures, including vaginal and robotic-assisted surgeries.
Her clinical expertise spans a wide range of pelvic floor disorders, from common conditions like pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence to more complex cases such as genitourinary and rectovaginal fistulas, urethral diverticula, and fecal incontinence. She prioritizes patient safety and comfort, offering both surgical and non-surgical treatment options to optimize outcomes. Additionally, Dr. Jacobson is an active researcher and frequently shares her expertise as a guest lecturer at medical conferences.
Outside of her practice, Dr. Jacobson enjoys spending time with her husband, three sons, and their family dog. She is an avid traveler and loves hiking, tennis, and pickleball.
Dr. Kapur is a fellowship-trained urogynecologist in central New Jersey serving East Brunswick, Edison, Old Bridge, and surrounding areas.
She knew from an early age that she wanted to become a physician and was accepted into the highly selective BS/MD program at Stony Brook University directly out of high school. She went on to complete both her undergraduate and medical education at Stony Brook before pursuing a five-year residency in urology, which included a year of general surgery. During this time, she developed a passion for advancing women’s health after recognizing how often women’s intimate concerns such as pelvic floor disorders were overlooked or dismissed.
Motivated to change that narrative, Dr. Kapur completed a two-year fellowship in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at NYU Langone Medical Center. Trained by both urologists and gynecologists, she gained broad expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, overactive bladder, and voiding dysfunction.
She offers advanced pelvic floor reconstruction using minimally invasive robotic techniques as well as traditional vaginal surgery, always tailoring her approach to each patient’s unique needs and goals. Her philosophy centers on compassionate, evidence-based care that empowers women to make informed decisions and regain confidence in their daily lives.
An active researcher, Dr. Kapur has presented nationally on topics including overactive bladder and cost-effective treatment strategies in urogynecology. Her work has been published in respected academic journals and featured in outlets such as Urology Times and Uro Today.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Kapur enjoys spending time with her husband and family, exploring new restaurants, and visiting local farmers’ markets for inspiration in her home cooking. Originally from New York, she now happily calls central New Jersey home thanks to her husband’s ongoing mission to turn her into a true Jersey girl.
